This “X” version combines the basic version and the “S” version, giving it an extra chorus, making it 5 choruses long. The goal of this Level 2x instrumental is to continue to develop the fundamental skills acquired in the Level 1 and Level 2 “mini” songs. I suggest 4 months of experience before attempting this. Play everything using tongue blocking except for the chords, and tongue switch to play hole #1 without moving your jaw, if you can.
This version of the E-Z Instrumental 2 CORE will be the most difficult because it has a harmonica solo and an extra melodic variation totaling 5 choruses. (See E-Z Inst 2 to see why this song is crucial). 4 months of experience are suggested for this.
Remember, each CORE E-Z Instrumental is important because it is a study of developing a melody and decorating it with a throat tremolo. It is also an artist study of Big Walter “Shakey” Horton.
